A love of good food is something that all humans share, regardless of their culture or belief system, and it’s why there are thousands of restaurants that can be found throughout the globe. Europe is a melting pot of culture and excellent food thanks to the many cuisine influences from the regions that are part of the area.
And while there are plenty of restaurants to choose from around Europe, only a handful are so unique and offer such good food that they’re among the very best that Europe has to offer.
1. Geranium
Found in the city of Copenhagen in Denmark, this is among Europe’s most well-known eateries, and currently holds three Michelin Stars as a testament to that fame. The food is beyond reproach, the service is exquisite, and the casual atmosphere makes it comfortable for everyone who visits.
Many of the dishes on the menu may seem fairly simple at first, but the flavour combinations are without equal, and it’s one of the many reasons that guests come back time after time.
2. Steirereck
This Austrian gem has belonged to the family of Heinz Reitbauer for generations, but after he took over ownership in 2005, he turned into one of the best eateries in the country, with two Michelin stars at present.
Reitbauer is a highly trained chef that focuses many of his dishes on Styrian cuisine, where his family started a farm in order to have fresh produce and other ingredients available for the restaurant.
3. El Celler De Can Roco
El Celler De Can Roco can be found in Girona of Spain, and this 3 Michelin star restauarant is not worth missing for anyone with a taste of Spanish cuisine.
Full courses can take up to three hours, and the wine list is among the most extensive of any eatery. Run by three brothers, it’s a cultural and culinary delight offers a little slice of heaven to any foodie.
4. White Rabbit
The city of Moscow is home to the world-famous White Rabbit, which can be found in Smolenskaya Square, right in the middle of the city. It’s been listed as one of the best eateries not just in Europe, but in the world, with consistently excellent reviews from the many thousands of patrons that have eaten there.
Almost all of the items on the menu are homemade and offer a uniqueness that can only be found in that region. Tagliolini with Caviar and bottarga are some of the more popular dishes ordered here and are definitely worth giving a try.
5. Mirazur
Mirazur, although located in France, is close enough to Italy for much of the two cuisines to mix into something truly one-of-a-kind. With two Michelin stars under its belt, it’s truly not worth missing if travelling anywhere near Menton.
The food is outstanding, the ambience is suitably French, but it’s comfortable enough to make it seem like another home-based eatery rather than one of Europe’s best food havens.
